New Web 2.0 Presentation
It's all about the API (Application Program Interface), a bit of code that allows one on-line application to talk to another. Combine the right ones and you create something totally new and uniquely powerful. Many of the most popular Web 2.0 technologies feature an API that allows users like you and me to combine them with others to make our very own applications. For example, take a little Google Maps and mash it up with a GPS client, and maybe a little instant messaging and Voila! You have an application that can track delivery drivers, travelers, or even kids on a school trip. You don't have to be a programmer to create a Mashup. Come learn about the best Mashups, how they're made, and how you can make your own.

In yesterday's Online Spin, there was an article Agencies: Reinvented or Replaced by Joe Marchese.
Joe's jist was that ad agencies need to change - that they aren't prepared for the future of advertising within social media. Here's what he says,
"In the end, social media is nothing more than a ...

My desk is a mess.
Once, in first grade, my teacher - can't remember the nun's name - put my entire desk in a box and sent me along with the box to the principal's office. Then he called my parents in so we could talk about how messy my ...

So how do you get a siteless web presence?
Your website is one place on the web. One place that Google can direct traffic. When a person does a search for your site then you'll hopefully pop up. If you have the right kind of URL, Title Tags, ...

But first things first. Your website should be a ...

After our last seminar, Social Media Mania, I received an email from an attendee about how to make a Google Map specific to their business. You know the kind where you have the little blue icon instead of a red one.
Here's what I wrote her.
If you don’t have an ...

No!!!!! The last thing you need to do is replace the person who knows your company inside and out and is dedicated to spreading the word about your success.
But you do need to understand that they probably need some love and attention.
For a small business, having a marketer is a ...
