New Web 2.0 Presentation
It's all about the API (Application Program Interface), a bit of code that allows one on-line application to talk to another. Combine the right ones and you create something totally new and uniquely powerful. Many of the most popular Web 2.0 technologies feature an API that allows users like you and me to combine them with others to make our very own applications. For example, take a little Google Maps and mash it up with a GPS client, and maybe a little instant messaging and Voila! You have an application that can track delivery drivers, travelers, or even kids on a school trip. You don't have to be a programmer to create a Mashup. Come learn about the best Mashups, how they're made, and how you can make your own.

It's been about nine months since I started blogging. I had heard about blogs for a while prior to starting (how could you not working at MediaSauce?), but didn't really understand why I would need to blog. After spending a little time with Sarah Robbins, our Director of Emerging Technologies, I discovered ...

So here's the secret. You can't.
You knew that was coming, didn't you? But there are ways to push the complaint farther away from your site and out of your search results.
The first thing I would do. Go after that customer, face to face, and see if you ...

This past weekend, I was fortunate enough to speak to a group of the most enthusiastic members of Indiana's blogging community at Blog Indiana 2008 at IUPUI's amazing new Campus Center. My topic was "Between the Posts" (which I admittedly have plenty of experience with) and it centered on using ...

How much do you really know about how the food you eat is produced? If you're like most Americans, it'd be safe to assume not too much. This weekend, I had the pleasure of speaking about digital and social media to the Young Farmers of the Indiana Farm Bureau as part of their annual ...

I had been wrestling with how to write about the Ferry Plaza Farmers Market for over a month. Just a written blog entry would pale in comparison to the experience I had. Ideally, I thought a sharp video piece would do the trick. One hitch: I only had photos. It was only ...

With the speed at which digital media and social media are moving, most organizations don't have a digital strategy. Understandably, they don't even have a budget that takes digital and social media into consideration.Because their budgets were created for yesterday, not today, there is a financial disconnect. What I mean ...

So the kids and I went to check out Eagle Creek Reservoir Beach on Sunday afternoon.
I'm very proud of my oldest daughter. She has finally learned to swim (after this summer of swimming lessons). But she's very particular about her nose. She has to have nose plugs on or she ...
